We’re looking a few people to join our growing kitchen team on various different levels. Whether you’re an experienced chef looking for a challenge, or new to the industry altogether we may have a role that would suit you. Read on to find out more about the roles & how to apply!

Kitchen Porter 

We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Kitchen Porter. Experience working within a professional kitchen in any capacity is preferred but not essential. More details upon request.

Junior Chef 

We’re looking for a team player with a positive attitude & approachable manner to join our team as a Junior chef, our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;

  • The knowledge and ability to run a section within a professional kitchen. 
  • The ability to work without close supervision
  • The ability to produce great quality food and work with fresh ingredients 
  • Good oral communication
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for developing personal skills as well as the skills of others around them 
  • Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new ideas and processes

Sous Chef 

We’re looking for a self-directed, team player with a positive attitude & approachable manner to fulfil our Sous Chef role. 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following; 

  • Excellent oral communication and team management skills. 
  • Direction of food preparation by delegating tasks within the team. 
  • Cooking and preparing high quality dishes using fresh, fluid seasonal ingredients and adapting to regular menu changes. 
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent numeracy skills 
  • Enthusiasm for developing personal skills as well as the skills of others around them 
  • A willingness to embrace new ideas and processes

Daily Responsibilities as a Sous Chef; 

  • Assisting the Head Chef to create menu items, recipes and develop new dishes
  • Supervising all sections of the kitchen 
  • Motivating and working closely with the rest of the team 
  • Being responsible for health and safety
  • Being responsible for food hygiene practices 
  • Ensuring quality and standards are maintained across the board
  • Assisting with orders and checking stock 
  • Ensuring that our kitchen continues to excel in all areas of food hygiene and safety regulations 

The Experience & Awards required for this role are as follows; 

  • Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate 
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety 
  • Experience of all standard kitchen equipment and safe handling of knives
