Your event?

We host all sorts of  private events in ‘The Nest’ (aka our backroom!) – mainly parties but also occasional meetings, workshops, films nights, hen do’s, baby showers, weddings and private meals. Our aim is to keep it simple and as easy as possible for you. All you should have to do is to turn up!

Availability:

 

Friday Nights

The room is available to hire on Friday nights. We offer room hire with food packages anytime from 5.30pm – 2am, or drinks only hire from 9pm – 2am.

Saturday Afternoon and Evening

On Saturdays we are always open to the public for dancing later on but we can make the room available from 3pm -10pm for your event. Often people who do this just stay on for the evening to hear the DJ’s, and we can also book tables for you at the front. 

Weekdays and Sunday nights

We have availability for some weekday evenings, Sunday afternoon from 3pm and Sunday evening.

Capacity:

We can accommodate 25 to 70/80 people depending on how you wish to use the room. It’s cosy for both smaller and larger numbers.

Equipment:

Much of the furniture folds or moves around easily to accommodate the best layout for your function. We have invested in a great sound system and decks, making recorded and live music alike sound excellent. We also have a variety of lighting for different setups including ambient options and candlelight, and for dancing there is a smoke machine and laser light. We also have a large wall mounted screen if you would like to show images or film.

Food:

We can offer a buffet menu of £10 or £12 per head. We also offer large party menus for seated meals. Our menus can cater for meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. Customers may bring their own birthday cakes, but other food and drinks are not permitted.

Drinks:

We have created a small section of value drinks packages only available for pre order, these will be prepared for you on ice upon your arrival. Customers also have access to our full drinks menu at the bar which includes a wide range of homemade sodas, cocktails , hot drinks and Ernest specials. 

Décor:

We always light candles and make sure that we have some simple flowers out. We can show images on the screen if required and guests are welcome to bring additional decorations as long as they stick with bluetac – not tape – and agree to take everything they need away afterwards.
