Mapathon at Ernest

Monday 25th June
6.30pm - 9.00pm

The Missing Maps Project aims to map the world’s most crisis-prone areas, so that humanitarian organisations can use the maps to respond to crises when they happen.

This mapathon is a chance for you to directly improve the lives of some of the planet’s most vulnerable communities- no experience is needed, just bring along your laptop and come and meet like-minded mappers!

At the start of the evening there’ll be a short demo to learn how to start mapping, and an experienced mapper will be on hand to help with mapping queries. You can grab yourself drinks and food whilst you map.

Still not sure what a mapathon is? Check out this video

What do I need?
Just your own laptop and enthusiasm! Bring a mouse if you have one as it makes mapping much faster.
Note: you can’t map using a tablet, or using Internet Explorer (you can use Google Chrome and Safari)

Registration from 6:30pm, Mapping starts 7pm

If you are an experienced mapper we would love your help with the event! Please get in touch on

See you there!
